InnoHK Showcases Global Research Collaboration Outcomes at InnoEX 2024
InnoHK's 16 AI and robotics research centres participated in InnoEX 2024 from 13 to 16 April, showcasing I&T innovations resulted from Hong Kong’s collaborations with world-renowned universities from around the globe and demonstrating Hong Kong's strength as a global research hub.
Highlights included Professor Helen Meng introducing the “AI Meeting Assistant System” capable of real-time translation and summarization from the Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence; Professor Guo Yike showcasing Hong Kong's first independently trained foundation model and applications from the Hong Kong Generative AI R&D Center, including a Chabot which provides real-time expert advices in fields like law and tourism, and a software that instantly differentiates real images from digital manipulations using Deep-fake Detection Technology; and Professor Zhang Li presenting micro-robotics technology for surgical procedures from the Multi-Scale Medical Robotics Center.
